Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage end to end litigation and dispute resolution matters across the organization and coordinating closely with internal stakeholders and external counsels to ensure timely and cost effective case handling.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategy in alignment with business goals and legal risk appetite.
  • Supervise and manage ongoing litigation including civil, commercial, criminal (as applicable),recovery, and arbitration matters.
  • Review and finalize legal pleadings, affidavits, written statements, and other filings and attend hearings, mediations, and arbitration proceedings as necessary.
  • Appoint, brief, and manage external counsels, ensuring alignment with internal strategy and expected deliverables and liaise with law enforcement authorities, government bodies, and quasi-judicial forums as required.
  • Proactively identify potential legal risks and recommend mitigatory actions across business functions and collaborate with contract/legal teams to flag and resolve contentious contractual issues pre-litigation.
  • Draft and review legal notices, replies, and settlement agreements and maintain documentation archives including case summaries, judgments, and legal opinions for future reference.
  • Serve as the go-to advisor on litigation matters for internal teams including HR, finance, supply chain, and operations and assist with disciplinary, employment, and vendor-related legal escalations that may lead.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree (LLB) or master’s degree in law (LLM) 3 to 7 years’ experience in litigation ideally a blend of law firm and in-housework.
  • Strong track record in civil and commercial disputes, arbitration, recovery matters.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply-chain, or procurement sectors preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal drafting, negotiation, and mediation techniques.
  • Excellent communication, high integrity, ethical standards, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
