Our software led approach unifies various stakeholders in the manufacturing universe to collaborate to deliver the products we see around us and we love. These include product designers, manufacturing partners, logistics providers, third-party quality inspectors, financing partners, raw material suppliers and many more. Role Overview

The Head of Estimation will lead end-to-end estimation, costing, and commercial inputs for renewable energy projects including Solar EPC, BESS, Solar Module supply, and EV infrastructure. The role is critical for bid competitiveness, profitability, and risk management across tenders and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead estimation, costing, and pricing for Solar EPC, BESS, EV charging infrastructure, and module supply projects.
  • Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and techno-commercial proposals for tenders, RFQs, and EPC bids.
  • Analyze tender documents, contracts, technical specifications, and scope of work to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, SCM, Projects, Finance, and Business Development teams to finalize competitive bids.
  • Develop and validate cost models, benchmarks, and rate analysis for materials, logistics, construction, and services.
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations and support negotiations to optimize project margins.
  • Support pre-bid meetings, technical clarifications, and commercial negotiations with clients.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements in bid submissions.
  • Monitor post-order cost variations and provide feedback to execution teams for cost optimization.
  • Build, mentor, and manage the estimation and proposal team; drive process improvements.

Job Requirement
  1. 2 GW+ of solar EPC estimation / bids led end-to-end (utility scale, India) with clear ownership of BOQ, cost build-up, risk, assumptions, and win/loss learning loops.
  2. 1 GW+ of executed (or under execution) projects exposure—so the candidate has learned from actual site realities (productivity, logistics, claims, deviations, grid/evacuation realities, etc.).
  3. Strong T&D / evacuation scope experience (pooling substation, switchyard, transmission lines, bay extensions, SCADA/telecom, protection, approvals).
  4. BESS as part of executed/ongoing projects (not just theoretical mention—should show tangible bids/projects with PCS/EMS/augmentations/LCoS thinking).
  5. Preference: last 8–10 years in pure-play Solar + T&D + BESS (we want a good balance of experience + “current-gen” market understanding).
