Roles & Responsibilities

Reviewing subcontractor’s profiles and eligibility as per project scope of work.
Defining subcontractor’s scope & preparing detailed scope matrix in consultation with operations team and higher management.
Negotiating contracts: Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives within budget.
Managing Supply & service procurement: Managing the procurement contract request for proposal (RFP) process, reviewing vendor proposals, and negotiating terms and conditions.
Ensuring compliance: Monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Managing costs: Executing the projects as per the designated budget
Promoting contracting practices: Assisting in the development and promotion of sound contracting practices.
Addressing subcontractors Grievances from time to time along with project teams and maintaining Risk Register.
Developing New subcontractors as per project requirement and maintaining database of subcontractors.
Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
Negotiate & conclude commercial & technical terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers.
Leading the activities of subcontract teams and manages a team of subcontracting engineers administrators.
Ensuring quality, safety , cost, and schedule objectives are met as per the requirement of project / prime contract.
Developing subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions of the contract.
Managing the entire procurement process starting from RFQ generation, issuing invitations for bids, reviewing vendor proposals, and making recommendations to senior leadership, evaluating technically & commercially and then PO placement.
Developing &v implementing sound contracting practices
Developing & maintaining robust details of subcontractors of various disciplines such as civil, mechanical, structural, Electrical, Scaffolding, Instrumentation etc.
Ensuring that the terms and conditions as laid down in the purchase order are adhered to and is in line with the prime contract.
Developing & maintaining a detail evaluation of various subcontractors on multiple parameters such as quality, safety, on time completion etc.
Ensuring that all the technical and commercial understanding is properly captured in the purchase order.
Ensuring timely payments to subcontractors as per contract terms
Monitor the flow of formal communications between the company and subcontractors
Pre-qualification of subcontractors before coordinating them on the job site
Perform technical and price reasonability evaluations as part of the proposal analysis.
Track billings and retainage with subcontractors and ensure it is in line with contract.
Assists in resolving commercial issues with subcontractors and reviewing correspondences from the operations team. Supporting the team in reviewing subcontractor requests for contract adjustments.
Ensuring smooth closeout of the contract post work completion.
Effectively managing change / variation orders from the subcontractors and ensuring that the company’s interest is protected.

Job Requirement

Should have at least 15 years of exp in handling subcontracting function across EPC/LSTK projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Minerals & Metals Industry.
Should have exposure in Projects involving multidisciplinary categories such as, Tanks, Piping, Civil & Structures, Equipment erection, E&I jobs,
Good to have, exposure to procurement of various supplies involving Piping, static & rotary equipment and associated items
Should have handled subcontracting works for projects with a cumulative amount/value of INR 500cr.
Should have handled/Executed projects across PAN India.
Should have exposure to departmental execution i.e. Mobilizing manpower, plant & Machinery for large size projects (>200cr)
