Roles & Responsibilities -
  • Design and develop custom jigs, fixtures and automation tools for manufacturing assembly and inspection.
  • Create 3D models, 2D detailed drawings using SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to GD&T, ISO standards, and DFM/DFA principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, tooling, and automation) to gather requirements and resolve design challenges.
  • Apply 3D printing and CNC knowledge for rapid prototyping and fixture manufacturing validation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in fixture performance, ergonomics, cost, and lead time.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and assist with fixture commissioning at the shopfloor.
  • Document design changes, maintain project records, and support ISO audit readiness.
  • Provide technical support during fixture trials, debugging, and final implementation.
Job Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in jig & fixture design, preferably in automation, EMS, or medical/aerospace sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and basic working knowledge of Creo 8.0.
  • Hands-on experience with GD&T, part detailing, BOM, and ISO documentation.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing (FDM/SLA) and CNC machining principles for prototype and tool validation.
  • Good understanding of design validation tools like CMM and VMS.
  • Practical knowledge of sheet metal, welding, pneumatic elements, and motion mechanisms.
